During one week of stay at DESIA you will feel as if TIME HAS FORGOTTEN TO MOVE here.
The simple life style at the villages, their weekly haat, their rituals as they pray nature in each stage of life, the traditional farming, pottery, weaving, drum bits during sunset are some of the highlights which will mesmerise you. Their warm hospitality and pure smiling will make you fall in love with the place.
Small hikes as per your capacity, cycle rides from one village to other, spending a day with a local farmer, Lending a hand with the local potter or learning how to make a local pancake from millet, dancing with arms together with the local folks are some of the authentic and pure experiences which can only be experienced by SLOW TRAVEL.
As a SLOW TRAVELLER, you may also opt to rewind with a book at the rocks by the riverside near DESIA & make your own plan for the day with the local guide from the village who speaks a broken English.
Being a RESPONSIBLE TRAVELLER, you will feel thankful to yourself as you realise that how your visit benefit the local community through various activities being organised by Odisha Eco Tourism Foundation which is founded by Heritage Tours.
Certainly, it will be difficult to say goodbye to the host community at Desia as you intend to leave after a week of stay.
