Odisha is one of the unique state for such activities where students can learn a lot by traveling & explore the rich cultural heritage & flora / fauna of the state.
Arrival at Bhubaneswar airport /station. Proceed to hotel at Puri and check in to a 110 years old house which runs as a small, boutique hotel.
Orientation and briefing on the overall program.
Evening at Blue Flag beach where you will learn from expert about procedure, eco system of Blue Flag certification which is a govt. of India promoted project.
Dinner & overnight stay at hotel in Puri.
Breakfast at the hotel and after breakfast HERITAGE WALK to the old city and various monasteries of the holy Dham where our story teller will explain you about the rich cultural heritage. Back to HOTEL and lunch. During afternoon excursion to Konark, the world Heritage Site of 13th century.
Before visiting the temple, a tour to the interpretation center where you learn the history of Sun worship, the temple architecture etc. After guided tour of the temple, enjoy the light and sound show ( except Monday ) and then back to PURI Dinner at the hotel.
Introductory Yoga session on the beach / Beach volley ball in the morning followed by breakfast. Today we shall visit the Artisan Village RAGHURAJPUR where you will have a half day session on the Odissan typical PATTACHITRA, PALMLEAF WORK, MASK MAKING etc. Lunch in the village followed by traditional GOTIPUA DANCE at the GURUKUL. Back to PURI and enjoy the SAND SCULPTURE session at the beach during SUNSET.
Free evening for self to enjoy at the roof top of the hotel overlooking the sea.
After early Breakfast at the hotel, excursion to Asia’s largest brackish water lake CHILIKA at SATAPADA where you will learn about the biodiversity and eco system of the lake through a movie at the CHILIKA DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY. You will also join on our ongoing project PLASTIC FREE CHILKA and enjoy the boat trip to sea mouth for plugging plastic waste and meet errawadi dolphins when you boat back to the mainland.
During evening visit the HERITAGE CORRIDOR project of JAGARNNATH TEMPLE which is a 250 CR project by the Govt of Odissa.If possible we shall arrange a talk with Govt official regarding this project. Dinner at hotel.
After breakfast, checkout and proceed to the Buddhist excavated archeological sites at LALITGIRI- RATNAGIRI-UDAYAGIRI, popularly known at Diamond triangle. Here our expert who worked for ASI will explain about the Buddhist architecture of those days.
Back to BHUBANSWAR and stay in a hotel.
During morning HERITAGE WALK to the temples of BHUBANSWAR where you will learn about evolution of KALINGA style of TEMPLE ARCHITECTURE from 7th till 12th century in an chronologically manner .Back to hotel and checkout the rooms. Then proceed to KALABHUMI -the finest art and craft museum where you see various forms of art and crafts under one roof. Also visit to TRIBAL MESUEM to know about the tribal housing pattern, jewellery, musical instruments etc displayed in an interactive manner.
Board the evening train ‘flight for onward journey.
